Kinusaiga is a traditional Japanese "no-sew" craft that translates to "SILK PAINTING OR FABRIC PAINTING". It involves creating intricate pictures by tucking silk scraps into grooves carved into a baseboard (traditionally wood, often foam today) to form a mosaic-like image. It creates a "quilted painting" without sewing. The Kinusaiga Design entered can be a maximum of 12"x12" in size.
All entries in the Kinusaiga division must be ready to be hung with wire or hanger attached by the exhibitor prior to submission. Kinusaiga entries are not allowed to be framed.
