About Us

The Utah State Fairpark & Event Center offers modern event facilities in a historical setting. Located near the base of the majestic Wasatch Mountains, our facilities offer sweeping views of the mountains and Salt Lake City.

The Utah State Fairpark & Event Center’s (originally called “Agriculture Park”) 65 acres has been a cultural legacy for the state since 1902. The Fairpark hosts the annual Utah State Fair, and has hosted thousands of other public and private events spanning from small gatherings such as company parties, weddings, and corporate meetings to large events such as festivals, major concerts, skateboard world championships, and rodeos.

The abundance of outdoor space and multiple historic buildings offer various styles of legacy architecture including hardwood floors and natural brick. Several venues have undergone renovations and upgrades to allow for stunning backdrops at events.

The Utah State Fairpark Corporation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization formed in 1995 that is responsible for managing, supervising, and controlling all activities relating to the state fair and state Fairpark facilities. By law, the Utah State Fairpark Corporation is required to host an annual state fair, as well as submit an annual report to the Governor and the Legislature. The State Auditor also directs an annual audit of the Corporation’s accounts.

Fairpark Health & Safety

Early in the pandemic, the Fairpark identified the need to have an accredited health and welfare safety plan. We identified GBAC Star as the industry leader, and moved towards certification - GBAC (Global Bio Risk Advisory Council) a subsidiary of ISSA.

This accreditation confirms that the Utah State Fairpark has comprehensive disinfection and bio-hazard management plans and procedures in place to mitigate the spread of infectious diseases, providing our guests with assurances that their health and welfare is our number one priority.
