UPDATE FOR THE SECOND SHOW:
***PLEASE ENTER THROUGH GATE 17 WHICH IS LOCATED OFF OF 300 NORTH. YOU'LL PARK AND WE'LL HAVE AN AMBASSADOR TAKE YOU TO THE AG BUILDING. WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED ENTERING THEY WILL TAKE YOU BACK TO YOUR CAR.

In person registration will be available in the ag building for both shows during drop off.

  • One Best of Show Rosette can be awarded in each Agricultural Section, if the judges deem worthy. There must be at least 3 entries in each section. One overall Grand Prize will be awarded in Agriculture Sections A thru Q. One overall Kids Corner Best Exhibit will be awarded as long as there are more than 3 entries.
  • Best Kids Corner Exhibit Premium $10 plus Rosette
  • Best of Show Premium $20 plus Rosette and an Award
  • Grand Prize Premium $50 plus Rosette and an Award (KIDS CORNER AND CENTENNIAL GARDENER EXCLUDED)

AGRICULTURE CLASSES

SPECIAL RULES - ENTRIES

  1. Name of the variety for each item exhibited must be included on the entry tag. Entry Tags will be provided by the Utah State Fair.
  2. All items must be identified at the time of entry.
  3. *Up to Four entries per class may be entered by the exhibitor. The highest placing entry will earn a premium, all ribbons will be awarded if deemed fit.
  4. Entries in this department are limited to residents of Utah and all products must have been grown within the state by the exhibitor during the current year. The only exception to this will be special events or divisions and sanctioned competitions.
  5. Commercially manufactured products are not eligible for competition in this department, except where specified.
  6. All entries become property of the Utah State Fair to be used as it deems fit. All Horticulture and Agriculture entries will be disposed of by the Utah State Fair after the last day of the fair. The only exceptions will be if arrangements are made with the Competitive Arts Manager prior to the opening of the fair.
  7. *All plate entries must contain 3-4 specimens each of the large fruits, such as apples, pears and peaches; fruits such as plums, crabapples, etc. must contain 5-6 specimens; and 3-4 bunches of American type grapes or 3 bunches of European type grapes.

AGRICULTURE RULES

All samples entered in the field crops section of the Fair may be treated with a clear coat as soon as judging is completed. All treated samples will be disposed of after each show.

(free from insect damage, disease and other injury)

Size and Shape
