Ribbon Requirements

Ribbon must be the primary medium of the entry and comprise at least 85% of the visible finished piece.

Any type of ribbon may be used, including:

Satin
-
Grosgrain
-
Organza
-
Velvet
-
Wired ribbon
-
Seam binding
-
Decorative or novelty ribbon
-
Recycled award/fair ribbons

Fabric strips, bias tape, yarn, and rope are not considered ribbon unless incorporated as minor embellishments.
- Ribbon may be Folded, Sewn, Woven, Braided, Embroidered, Quilled, Twisted, Glued or Sculpted

Commercially manufactured ribbon decorations or kits may not constitute the majority of the design.

Entries must be sturdy enough to withstand display during the fair.
- Embellishments are permitted.

Embellishments should enhance the design but should not visually overpower the ribbon component.

Pre-made decorative elements should not exceed approximately 15% of the finished piece.
- Wall pieces must include appropriate hanging hardware.

Three-dimensional pieces should be self-supporting or include a display stand.

Exhibitors are responsible for providing any specialized display supports.
