ENTRY INFORMATION

Entry Deadline: August 29th, 2024

Entry Charge: $8 per head (no additional charge for group classes)

TRAILER PARKING

*** All livestock trailers will be parked in a remote, secure lot following off loading of livestock and tack. Exhibitors will be assigned trailer parking pass and ONE passenger vehicle pass at check in. NO TRAILERS will be parked in UTSF parking lots without Fair administration permission.**

SPECIAL RULES

*Exhibitors are required to read and abide by the General Rules and Livestock General Rules.

SPECIAL RULES
1. There will be a limit of 20 animals from one exhibitor. exhibitors is defined as the same farm or family.
2. After using the wash rack, area must be cleaned. Animals cannot be tied and left in the racks. Be courteous of other exhibitors' need to use the wash rack.
3. Any hose or other connection to the water at the wash rack must have a shut-off nozzle.
4. A minimum of 20 head of cattle (provided by 2 or more exhibitors not from the same farm or family) will be required to constitute competition in any one breed. Failure to meet this requirement for 2 consecutive years will result in the elimination of that separate breed class.
5. ALL OTHER RECOGNIZED BREEDS - If there is no competition in any one breed, livestock may be grouped together in an "All Other Recognized Breeds" class. All animals must be registered with their respective National Breed Association or be eligible for registration upon reaching the age prescribed by that Association.
6. Nose leads will be required on all bulls except junior calves.
7. Grand and Reserve Female and Grand and Reserve Champion Bull of each breed will receive a Special Award.
8. The use of straw is prohibited on the Fairpark. Wood shavings will be provided for initial bedding.

ANGUS

CLASS AN - ANGUS

All animals must be registered with the respective National Breed Association or be eligible for registration upon reaching the proper age. Papers and ear tattoos will be checked.



DEXTER

CLASS DE - DEXTER

All animals must be registered with the respective National Breed Association or be eligible for registration upon reaching the proper age. Papers and ear tattoos will be checked.


Gelbvieh

CLASS GE - GELBVIEH

All animals must be registered with the American Gelbvieh Association, or be eligible for registration upon reaching the proper age as required by that association.


HEREFORD

CLASS HE - HORNED & POLLED HEREFORD

AMERICAN HEREFORD ASSOCIATION REGIONAL POINT SHOW

Exhibitors in Hereford classes are subject to the association's special rule on class qualification, and any animal without a legible tattoo will not be eligible for show. All Hereford animals must be officially recorded at show time to be eligible to show. Entries with registrations "pending" or "applied for " will be ineligible to show.


Miniature Herefords

SPECIAL RULES
1. Entries must be registered with the American Hereford Association (AHA). Animals with "pending" or "applied for" registration are not eligible to show.

2. Entries are subject to provisions and rules of showing as set for by the AHA Board of Directors and are subject to supervision of the Show and Sale Committee representing the MHBA.

3. All exhibitors must be current members of the MHBA in order to be eligible to show.

4. Entries will be measured. Maximum height to be shown in these classes is frame score 1 (one) on the extended graph of the AHA chart, 45 inches on mature females and 48 inches on mature bulls. Any animal exceeding the height limit will not be eligible to show.

5. All horned and polled Miniature Hereford cattle will show together.

6. Any animal without a legible tattoo will not be eligible to show.


Simmental

CLASS SI - SIMMENTAL

SPECIAL RULES
Animals must be registered with the American Simmental Association, or be eligible for registration upon reaching the proper age. Animals must have a legible tattoo which can be compared with registration papers. Animals seven months of age or more must have registration papers or a performance pedigree from the American Simmental Association. Utah Simmental Association & Fair officials may check tattoos and papers. Heifers born prior to May 1, 2020 must be: a) bred, with pregnancy status verified on the health paper or b) verified as used in embryo transfer.

All Other Breeds

CLASS AOB - OTHER RECOGNIZED BREEDS

If there is no competition in any one breed, they will be groped into an "All Other Recognized Breeds" class. All animals must be registered with their respective National Breed Association or be eligible for registration upon reaching the proper age prescribed by that Association.
