UTAH 4H FAIR

STATE FAIR INFORMATION
Counties are to send or bring all 4-H exhibits except Department G (Plants, flowers, fruits and vegetables) to the 4-H Building near the South Gate (Deseret Building) at the Utah State Fairgrounds BETWEEN 9:00 AM TO 2:00 PM ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2026. Early entries cannot be accepted. Multiple counties may make arrangements to deliver exhibits together. Counties must sign up for a time beforehand. Crops and garden exhibits must be brought BETWEEN 10:00 AM AND 1:00 PM ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2026.

Counties are invited to coordinate with residents to drop off State Fair Open Class exhibits to the State Fair early on 4-H Drop off day. For more information, email pamela.vanwagoner@usu.edu.

Counties are to enter all State Fair exhibits through EZFair which will be provided by Utah 4-H. Counties who choose to use another program will be responsible for entering their exhibits into the State Fair EZFair program. Please print one “State Fair Entry” list. Submit the completed lists with entries submitted at the State 4-H Building on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2026. Information requested is as follows: name of county, class number, first and last name of the exhibitor, and a complete description (including color) of the exhibit as insurance against loss. Please sort the list by exhibitor. Complete descriptions are required!

Counties are responsible for signing up for a time to collect the exhibits AFTER 12:00 PM AND BEFORE 2:00 PM ON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2026 ; all exhibits must be picked up at the 4-H Building (Deseret Building) near the South Gate at the Utah State Fair.

The following judging and award guidelines will be used:
  • Cloverbud entries will not be accepted.
  • All entries will be judged.
  • Entries deemed to be of superior quality will be recognized as such and receive a Best of Show Rosette.
  • More than one entry per class may receive the State Fair Honor Award, and should be approximately 15% of the total entries in the department.
  • Each 4-H member with entries in the fair will receive at least one (1) gate admission pass.
  • Entries will receive premiums based on the Utah State Fair board budget.
