Request Media Access

Working media wishing to cover the Fair for news and entertainment purposes may request parking and admission access. To coordinate access, requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance of your visit. Please read the full policy below before submitting a request.

Who Can Receive Media Credentials for the Utah State Fair?

Media credentials — including parking — are provided to individuals actively covering the Utah State Fair for journalistic or editorial purposes. This includes those working on assignment for a recognized news outlet or media platform.

Eligible Media Includes:

  • Broadcast Media (TV & Radio): Reporters, anchors, producers, DJs, videographers, and photojournalists working on behalf of a radio or television station.
  • Print & Digital Media: Journalists, editors, and photographers assigned by newspapers, magazines, or established online news platforms.
  • Freelance Journalists: Independent writers and photographers must present a valid press ID and a current assignment letter or email from an editor or news director at a recognized media outlet.
  • Content Creators (Bloggers, Vloggers, Influencers): Requests from social media influencers and digital content creators will be reviewed individually. Applicants must provide proof of audience size and engagement. Accounts will be assessed based on content relevance and audience alignment with the Fair.

Media credentials are intended for working members of the media only and are not available for personal bloggers, hobbyists, or individuals requesting access for commercial gain.

Media Access & Coverage Guidelines

Approved media credentials provide general admission access to the Utah State Fair. If you require access to specific areas beyond general grounds (such as behind-the-scenes zones, stages, or restricted exhibits), those requests must be made in advance and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

The Utah State Fair Marketing & Media team will determine whether an escort is required during your visit based on the nature of your coverage and access needs.

We kindly ask that all approved media outlets share a link to their coverage or published content following their visit.
